Today’s 10:30 worship was a little different from what we have come to expect at Holy Family. In the middle of the summer, this was our “Seventh Inning Stretch.” The Rector and the ministers at the altar did not wear vestments; many worshipers dressed in shorts or other informal attire. The choir had a Sunday off; Pat Peterson, our organist was out of town to play at a wedding; and our Wire Choir led our worship in song.
This was our chance to be relaxed and to have some fun. It’s our chance to have “Dessert First” in memory of Dot Wells, our beloved 95-year-old parishioner who passed away last month. The Hospitality Ministry brought us a “Super Sundae Sunday” at the coffee hour.
